Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • current Food Handler Certification
  • maintain Professional Development Standard hours as required by TDA
  • basic knowledge of mathematical and accounting principles
  • ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • ability to follow oral and written directions
  • ability to interact cordially with all ages and diverse backgrounds
  • ability to handle high stress
  • ability to perform tasks in high noise surroundings
  • knowledge of Nutrikids Point of Sale
  • knowledge of Offer vs. Serve and reimbursable meals
  • ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • willingness to accept kitchen responsibilities in manager's absence
  • ability to lift and carry up to 45lbs occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of Offer vs. Serve, Choice and Reimbursable meals
  • ability to perform repetitive tasks daily without instruction
  • willingness and ability to accept kitchen responsibilities in manager's absence
  • ability to occasionally lift and carry 45lbs without assistance

Job Duties

  • Reports at assigned time
  • attends all mandatory trainings and meetings
  • performs duties as described on the daily work schedule
  • wears proper uniform and shoes daily
  • maintains proper hygiene
  • works before or after assigned hours including Saturdays as needed to prepare and serve meals
  • works the Supper Program after school
  • works the Fresh Fruits and Vegetables program
  • follows District computer use policy and procedure
  • operates the Point of Sale System
  • identifies and records each reimbursable meal at point of service
  • executes daily reports of meals served
  • accounts for and deposits all cash received for sales of adult meals and ala carte items
  • prepares daily deposits using approved forms and procedures
  • submits participation and financial reports daily
  • assists in all kitchen areas as assigned
  • keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly
  • follows safety procedures and reports accidents immediately
  • follows food preparation procedures according to HACCP Plan and production record
  • accepts any campus assignment and substitutes as needed
  • performs all duties safely
  • respects federally funded foods, equipment and supplies as per USDA, TEA, and TDA guidelines
  • performs other duties as assigned by Superintendent, CNP Director, or CNP Assistant Director or Manager
