Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food production or manufacturing preferred
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to work in standing position for extended periods
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work in environments with exposure to chemicals
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety compliance
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and documentation protocols
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve production issues

Job Qualifications

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Willingness and ability to learn clean-in-place (CIP) controls, Factory Talk Batch and Navision systems
  • Ability to stand, reach, walk, stoop, push, pull and lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Comfortable working in a wet environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals

Job Duties

  • Print material requisition sheets and use inventory systems to locate and weigh raw materials according to formulas
  • Manage and coordinate with Quality Assurance to retest and discard expired raw materials
  • Assist during syrup production batches
  • Maintain raw material locations and organization physically and in inventory systems
  • Confirm material requisition accuracy with Research and Development prior to staging and weighing ingredients
  • Perform clean-in-place (CIP) functions on batching equipment and conduct titrations on cleaning chemicals
  • Unload liquid and dry sugar
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and complete cleaning checklists
  • Follow all work instructions, job aids, documentation and quality checks as per Safe Quality Food requirements
  • Use continuous improvement mindset to improve processes
  • Troubleshoot process nonconformities, identify root causes and take corrective actions
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area adhering to chemical handling procedures
  • Report any food safety and quality related issues to management
  • Weigh and stage ingredients for scheduled syrup batches
  • Uphold and inspire adoption of company mission and values
  • Perform other assigned duties
