Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Work Permit
- Valid Washington State Food Handler's Card - must obtain within 14 days of start date
- Hepatitis A vaccination
- Available and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Culinary Arts or Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred
- Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Diverse cooking skills with high-volume cooking experience
- Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to food
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and the public
- Effective communication skills in verbal and written correspondence
Job Duties
- Perform various types of cooking methods
- Follow all recipes and control procedures
- Prepare or display food to specifications
- Assist Chef in preparing specialty dishes
- Rotate food products daily ensuring quality
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines set by FDA to ensure HACCP
- Perform quality control checks before, during, and after production to ensure health and sanitation standards
- Train and work with the Prep/Cook Team
- Continually review kitchen operations for improvements
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Chef and F&B Manager
- Be available to work any necessary changes in hours
- May act as lead cook for a shift
- Serve as panelist for Internal Review Hearings
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
