Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum six months of related culinary experience
  • Ability to pass ServSafe certification within 90 days
  • Ability to complete Culinary Academy training within 12 months
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to handle demanding kitchen tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Ability to use basic math skills
  • Willingness to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
  • Compliance with safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work in noisy, hot, and cold kitchen environments
  • Availability to work in different kitchen locations as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Intermediate culinary skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of related experience
  • Ability to achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
  • Ability to complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
  • Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting
  • Ability to maintain discretion handling confidential information
  • Professional interaction with guests and team members
  • Ability to work irregular hours including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment including standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus

Job Duties

  • Perform intermediate food preparation and cooking duties including breading and marinating ingredients for use
  • Prepare desserts, appetizers, and hot foods
  • Season and cook meats, fish, and vegetables
  • Prepare menu items using griddle, flattop, fry, and tempura methods
  • Use and clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils including ovens, grills, fryers, broilers, and knives safely
  • Ensure a safe, sanitary, and organized working environment
  • Assist other culinary team members and learn skilled kitchen duties
  • Assist in storing and rotating inventories
  • Perform opening and closing duties as needed
  • Work at other kitchens or venues as assigned
  • Comply with departmental internal controls, policies, and regulations
  • Perform other assigned duties
