Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and stock up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate a cash register
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or sushi preparation preferred

- Experience in sushi preparation or similar food preparation roles
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to follow recipes and adapt to new menu ideas
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Cash handling experience
Job Duties
- Responsible for production, ordering and receiving, merchandising, controlling inventory sanitation, and safety within the sushi department
- Responsible for daily preparation work in the department, filleting fish, and preparing sushi to fill sushi case and customer orders while maintaining quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and development including creativity and experimentation with new trends and menu ideas and recipes for sushi
- Ensure compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements
- Maintain open communication with all members of the meat department
- Maintain a high degree of cleanliness throughout preparation area
- Must be able to correctly operate a cash register including proper cash handling and all forms of tender per company policy
