Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and stock up to 50 pounds
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Experience working in a food service environment preferred
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations
- Must maintain a positive and friendly demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- For positions serving alcohol, must be 21 years of age
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous culinary experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Creativity in menu development
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with catering events is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Customer service orientation
- Basic computer literacy for order taking
Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation, display, and merchandising of bistro foods
- Work with deli/bistro team lead and executive chef to meet sales and quality goals
- Plan, develop and present various creative menus
- Take special orders and answer phone calls
- Maintain positive and friendly attitude towards customers and team members
- Engage with customers by offering product information, selling suggestions, and active sampling
- Facilitate catering events from start to finish and collaborate with catering director and executive chef
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations
- Monitor food cost and control shrink by overseeing production and implementing reworks
- Communicate effectively with deli/bistro and catering departments
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
