Job Requirements
- Ability to read, write and follow instructions
- Driver's license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Driving Record Review Standards
- Ability to regularly move heavy weight of 100 lbs and occasionally in excess of 250 lbs
- Ability to remain in a stationary position and move for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in inclement weather
- Ability to move for long periods of time
Job Qualifications
- Driver's license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Driving Record Review Standards

- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working with the general public in a service environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to use a mobile phone and other electronic devices
- Ability to understand basic floor plan of the medical center
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to safely drive all types of vehicles
- Ability to exceed customer expectations
- Ability to move across long distances and remain stationary for extended periods
- Ability to perform duties indoors and outdoors
Job Duties
- Safely drive valet parked vehicles
- Perform valet parking duties as assigned
- Greet patients and guests upon arrival to the hospital
- Transport and assist ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients and guests to and from clinics, inpatient units, and procedure areas via wheelchair, patient bed, patient stretcher, or walking them to their destination
- Deliver wheelchairs to assigned areas
- Problem solve when service recovery is needed
- Assist patients and guests with questions and wayfinding needs
- Occasionally drive a motorized transportation cart safely
- Perform guest services dispatch duties
- Deliver movable medical equipment throughout the hospital
- Clean and store equipment
- Drive late evening shuttle
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must comply with UI Fleet Safety Driving Record Review Standards
