Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be able to stand, sit, lift up to 50 lbs, push, walk, bend for extended periods
  • Must comply with health department standards
  • Previous baking or culinary experience preferred
  • Must be able to handle cash register operations
  • Must work well in a team
  • Must have good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in bakery or pastry production preferred
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong creativity in recipe development and menu planning
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic math skills for handling cash register and inventory control

Job Duties

  • Responsible for production, ordering, merchandising, achieving goals on sales and profits, controlling inventory and out of stocks, sanitation, shrink, supplies, equipment, and safety
  • Assist with menu planning and development including creativity and experimentation with new trends and menu ideas and recipes to create exclusive pastries and expand offerings
  • Ensure compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements
  • Maintain open communication with all members of the kitchen and department manager
  • Work with the Catering Director and Executive Chef on menu planning and facilitating the production of catering menus to ensure profitability, variety and quality standards
  • Maintain a high degree of cleanliness throughout preparation area
  • Correctly operate a cash register including proper cash handling and all forms of tender per company policy
