Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be 21 years of age for positions serving alcohol
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Basic food safety certification preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- Good customer service skills
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to handle standing, lifting, and bending
Job Duties
- Mixing baking ingredients according to Bashas' recipes
- Weighing and proofing dough and other bakery products
- Operating ovens and other bakery equipment to bake products at proper temperatures and durations
- Decorating and finishing cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods
- Assisting with ordering and receiving bakery products and supplies
- Controlling inventory levels and managing out-of-stock items
- Using scale printer machines to ensure accurate weights and pricing
- Maintaining clean and orderly production, storage, and display areas
- Wrapping, boxing, slicing, and stocking bakery products
- Displaying bakery goods following merchandising guidelines
- Assisting with personalized cake decoration and icing
- Performing other related bakery duties as assigned
