Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have valid TABC Beverage Seller's Permit
- Must maintain Food Handler's Permit if required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push and pull 50-100 pounds regularly
- Must comply with attendance and punctuality standards
- Must work on Fridays and Saturdays and maintain 80 percent shift attendance
- Must follow all OSHA and company safety regulations
- Must refrain from cell phone use on sales floor
- Must adhere to uniform guidelines during work hours
- Must provide courteous, professional guest interactions
- Must be reliable, responsible, and self-motivated
- Must be willing to perform cleaning duties including restrooms
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and guests
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Friendly, outgoing, and helpful demeanor
- Willingness to learn e-commerce processes
- Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions
- Valid TABC Beverage Seller's Permit
- Valid Food Handler's Permit where applicable
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull weights as required
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Job Duties
- Know and actively demonstrate company mission statement and core values daily
- Maintain uniform standards according to employee manual
- Greet guests with a smiling face and helpful demeanor
- Operate cash register or electronic scanner and lookup products
- Ensure proper pricing by scanning correct barcodes
- Suggestively sell items and offer add-ons including charity
- Monitor merchandise and accuracy of charges
- Redeem coupons and weigh produce when required
- Check identification for legal sales
- Receive and process various payment types
- Issue receipts and accurate change
- Bag or box merchandise efficiently
- Assist with carry-outs and loading orders
- Compute and record daily totals and maintain till balance
- Keep work area clean, stocked, and organized
- Answer guest questions and resolve complaints courteously
- Avoid personal cell phone use and unnecessary conversations during guest presence
- Stock shelves and check price tags
- Prepare inventory areas and assist with inventory
- Carry out management directives attentively
- Practice teamwork and manage stress in fast-paced environment
- Stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally
- Follow safety regulations under OSHA
- Clean restrooms and maintain overall store cleanliness as needed
- Fulfill online/e-commerce order processing and notifications
- Communicate with team and guests effectively
- Manage time and prioritize tasks appropriately
- Attend all scheduled shifts punctually
- Other projects as assigned by management
