Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol
- ability to stand, sit, lift up to 50 pounds, push, keyboard, use telephone, walk, and bend for extended periods
- must be responsible and friendly
- must follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- internal transfer or promotion candidates require current leader's recommendation and endorsement
- rehire candidates require approval by HRBP
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a deli, restaurant, or food service environment preferred
- leadership skills or experience desirable
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to manage inventory and follow merchandising guidelines
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- physical ability to lift, stock, and stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- Direct department personnel in the absence of the Deli/Bistro Team Leader
- meet department goals and objectives
- communicate with store director and supervisors
- order products and supplies to maintain stock and merchandising levels
- oversee preparation and serving of deli/bistro food items including entrees, fried foods, roasted chickens, pizzas, salads, sandwiches
- display deli/bistro merchandise according to company guidelines
- rotate deli/bistro items to ensure quality and control product shrink
- comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- receive merchandise and supplies, audit invoices, and stock storage areas
- monitor product pricing, signage, and placement
- maintain clean and orderly sales counters, prep areas, and storage
- work safely around slicers, tools, ovens, and burners
- take and fulfill customer orders
- perform all other related duties as assigned
