Job Requirements

  • Live in the local area or within commuting distance
  • Willing to work a variety of day, night and weekend shifts

  • Able to read, write and speak English

  • Able to grasp, lift and/or carry 50 lbs or move/push goods weighing up to 100 lbs

  • Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years à la carte service and fine dining knowledge
  • Good working knowledge of hot cooking methods including broiling, frying, sautéing and grilling
  • Understanding of accepted standards of sanitation
  • Experience operating kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers and kettles
  • Basic mathematical skills to understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts, and portion sizes
  • Ability to read and write English to complete requisitions, read recipes, and communicate
  • Manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment like knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, and slicers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent people skills
  • Ability to work independently

Job Duties

  • Prepare all foods according to standard recipes to ensure consistency of product to the guest
  • Visually inspect, select and use food items of the highest quality in the preparation of all menu items
  • Check and control the proper storage of product and portion control
  • Keep all refrigeration, storage, and working areas in clean, working condition to comply with health department regulations
  • Ensure all equipment in working areas is clean and in proper working condition
  • Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items for production in the workstation
  • Utilize math skills to appropriately prepare items according to recipes
  • Stand and work continuously in confined spaces
  • Perform duties within extreme temperature ranges
