Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • must be 21 years of age for positions serving alcohol
  • able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to stand, sit, lift up to 50 lbs, push, bend, walk, and use a keyboard and telephone
  • availability to work flexible hours
  • recommendation from current leader for internal candidates
  • HR approval for rehires

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in food service or retail environment
  • leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to operate deli equipment such as slicers and ovens
  • good communication skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to handle physical demands of standing, lifting, bending, and walking

Job Duties

  • Directing department personnel in the absence of the team leader
  • meeting department goals and objectives
  • ordering products and supplies
  • overseeing preparation and serving of deli/bistro food items
  • merchandising deli/bistro products according to guidelines
  • rotating deli/bistro items to ensure quality and safety
  • maintaining compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • receiving merchandise and auditing invoices
  • monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement
  • maintaining clean and orderly sales counters and food prep areas
  • working safely around sharp slicers and hot ovens
  • taking and completing customer orders
  • performing other related duties as assigned
