Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- must be 21 years of age for positions serving alcohol
- able to work in a fast-paced environment
- physical ability to stand, sit, lift up to 50 lbs, push, bend, walk, and use a keyboard and telephone
- availability to work flexible hours
- recommendation from current leader for internal candidates
- HR approval for rehires
Job Qualifications
- Experience in food service or retail environment
- leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- strong customer service skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to operate deli equipment such as slicers and ovens
- good communication skills
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to handle physical demands of standing, lifting, bending, and walking
Job Duties
- Directing department personnel in the absence of the team leader
- meeting department goals and objectives
- ordering products and supplies
- overseeing preparation and serving of deli/bistro food items
- merchandising deli/bistro products according to guidelines
- rotating deli/bistro items to ensure quality and safety
- maintaining compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- receiving merchandise and auditing invoices
- monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement
- maintaining clean and orderly sales counters and food prep areas
- working safely around sharp slicers and hot ovens
- taking and completing customer orders
- performing other related duties as assigned
