YES Prep Public Schools

YES Prep Public Schools is a network of public, open-enrollment charter schools located in the Greater Houston area. Established in 1998, YES Prep has grown to operate 24 campuses, serving nearly 20,000 students across Houston.

The organization is dedicated to providing a college-preparatory education to students from underserved communities, with a particular focus on those who are economically disadvantaged. Approximately 80% of YES Prep students are economically disadvantaged, and 95% are Hispanic or African American.

YES Prep's educational model emphasizes academic excellence, character development, and college readiness. The network offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes Advanced Placement (AP) courses, electives, and extracurricular activities designed to prepare students for success in higher education and beyond.

The organization also provides specialized programs to support students with disabilities, ensuring that all students receive a free and appropriate public education in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
