About Washington Regional Medical System
Washington Regional Medical System is a community-owned, non-profit healthcare organization based in Northwest Arkansas. Established in 1950, it has grown into the region's largest healthcare provider, offering a comprehensive range of services to meet the diverse needs of its community.
At the heart of the system is the Washington Regional Medical Center, a 425-bed facility recognized nationally for its safe, effective, and patient-centered care. The medical center serves as the region's only Level II trauma center, providing 24/7 care for critically ill or injured patients.
It is also one of only two hospitals in Arkansas to earn certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by The Joint Commission.

The system's commitment to excellence is reflected in its ranking by U.S. News & World Report as the #1 hospital in Arkansas for 2022-23. It was recognized as high performing in seven areas of care including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart attack, heart failure, hip and knee replacement, kidney failure, lung cancer surgery, stroke, and uterine cancer surgery.
