Volunteers of America Northern Rockies is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive health and human services to vulnerable individuals and families across the Northern Rockies region, including Wyoming, Montana, and Western South Dakota.

Services Offered

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies offers a wide range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of the communities they serve:

• Veteran Services: Through partnerships with the VA and Department of Labor, they provide supportive services for veterans across Montana, Wyoming, and Western South Dakota.
• Addiction Treatment: Offering inpatient and outpatient services, they operate residential facilities in Sheridan and Cheyenne, Wyoming, with outpatient clinics in Riverton, Cheyenne, Laramie, Torrington, and Wheatland.
• Mental Health Services: Based in Southeast Wyoming, outpatient clinics and housing facilities provide varying levels of support.
• Homeless Services: Outreach services in many Wyoming counties including Sheridan, Johnson, Washake, Park, Hot Springs, Big Horn, and Fremont; in Western South Dakota, housing assistance plus a diaper and food bank are offered.
• Low-Income Senior Housing: Affordable, safe, and comfortable living options with community engagement opportunities are available in Billings, MT; Sheridan, WY; and Torrington, WY.
• Youth Services: They operate a youth home, Milestones, and an Independent Living Program to help at-risk youth transition into independent living.
• Adult Re-entry: Booth Hall in Gillette, WY supports previously incarcerated individuals in their transition back to society by assisting with employment, transportation, and basic necessities.
• Community Health Services: Programs include HIV Prevention and Ryan White (Part B), occupational drug testing, and classes for individuals facing DUI or domestic violence charges.
