Fleet and Service

Innovative Transit Solutions

VIA has introduced VIA Link, an on-demand ride-sharing service, launched in 2019, to meet evolving community needs.

Rapid Bus Lines Development

VIA is advancing public transit with two upcoming rapid bus lines: the Green and Silver Lines, designed to provide rail-like service at a reduced cost.

These lines will use dedicated lanes for frequent and speedy service every 10 minutes.

The Green Line will connect San Antonio International Airport to the Missions via San Pedro Avenue, with construction starting in July 2025 and operations expected by early 2028.

Partnerships to Enhance Accessibility

To improve accessibility, VIA partnered with ride-hailing services like Uber.

This collaboration allows residents to purchase bus tickets directly through the Uber app.

The goal is to increase public transportation ridership among individuals who might not typically consider taking the bus.
