About UofL Health
UofL Health is a not-for-profit, fully integrated regional academic health system based in Louisville, Kentucky. Affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine, it comprises nine hospitals, four medical centers, the Brown Cancer Center, the Eye Institute, and over 250 physician practice locations.
The system employs more than 1,200 providers across Louisville and surrounding counties, including southern Indiana. It also extends services through a partnership with Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

Facilities include UofL Hospital, Jewish Hospital, Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, Peace Hospital, Shelbyville Hospital, Frazier Rehabilitation Institute, and the Brown Cancer Center.
Expansion and Facilities
In March 2024, UofL Health opened UofL Health – South Hospital in Bullitt County, Kentucky, a $78 million acute care hospital featuring 40 inpatient beds and a 10-bed intensive care unit.
This hospital addresses healthcare needs in one of Kentucky’s fastest-growing regions.
UofL Health also operates Urgent Care Plus facilities in various locations, including west Louisville's Parkland neighborhood, providing affordable preventive and urgent care services seven days a week with primary and urgent care providers.

The organization includes a dedicated team of over 14,000 professionals—physicians, surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, and healthcare experts.

- The main campus, called the Health Sciences Center, is in downtown Louisville’s medical complex and houses the University of Louisville Hospital and UofL Health – Jewish Hospital.
