The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) is a comprehensive academic health system dedicated to improving the health of Tennesseans and beyond through education, research, clinical care, and public service. Established in 1911, UTHSC is the state's only public, statewide academic health system, offering a wide range of programs across its six colleges: Dentistry, Graduate Health Sciences, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy.

UTHSC operates four major campuses in Memphis, Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Nashville, each serving as a hub for education, research, and clinical training.

The Memphis campus, located in the heart of the city's medical center, is the largest and serves as the main campus. It houses all six colleges and is affiliated with several teaching hospitals, including Regional One Health, Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, and the Memphis VA Medical Center.

Knoxville Campus

The Knoxville campus offers comprehensive medical education and clinical training with more than 100 medical students engaging in core training rotations. Over 200 residents and fellows train at the UT Medical Center, enhancing their clinical skills.

Chattanooga Campus

In Chattanooga, approximately 200 medical students receive education and clinical training. The campus supports nine residency programs, six fellowships, and six non-standard fellowships in Graduate Medical Education.

Nashville Campus

The Nashville campus trains more than 100 medical residents in specialties such as internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, family medicine, emergency medicine, and cardiology.

Clinical Care Services

UTHSC's clinical care services include University Clinical Health, UT Le Bonheur Pediatric Specialists, UT Regional One Physicians, and University Health Services. These provide primary and specialty care, with University Clinical Health offering affordable healthcare through its physician network.

Educational and Training Sites

Beyond its campuses, UTHSC has nearly 900 educational and clinical training sites across Tennessee where faculty, residents, and trainees learn and provide care.
