University of Louisville

The University of Louisville (UofL) is a public research university located in Louisville, Kentucky. Established in 1798, it has grown into a comprehensive institution offering a wide range of academic programs and services.

Campuses

UofL operates across three primary campuses:

• Belknap Campus: Situated three miles south of downtown Louisville, this 345-acre campus houses seven of the university's 12 colleges and schools.
• Health Sciences Center: Located in downtown Louisville's medical complex, this campus is home to the university's health-related programs and the University of Louisville Hospital.
• Shelby Campus: Found in eastern Jefferson County, this 230-acre campus includes the National Crime Prevention Institute and the Information Technology Resource Center.

In addition to these, UofL has an international campus in Panama City, Panama, offering an MBA program.

Athletics

The university boasts a vibrant athletic program with 21 intercollegiate varsity sports competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The Cardinals have secured 19 national championships and 59 team conference titles in men's and women's sports.
