About Union Gospel Mission

Union Gospel Mission (UGM) is a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services to individuals experiencing homelessness in the Inland Northwest region. Established in 1951 by a group of Christian businesspeople, UGM has been steadfast in its mission to offer food, shelter, and individualized pathways out of homelessness for over 70 years.

  • Women's Recovery at Anna Ogden Hall: Anna Ogden Hall provides a safe and healing environment for women and their children to break free from cycles of abuse, addiction, and homelessness. The program includes case management, counseling, basic medical care, life skills classes, Bible study, and job training.

Support Services

UGM offers a variety of support services to assist individuals in their journey toward self-sufficiency:

  • Job Training and Employment: Through partnerships with local businesses and internal programs, UGM provides job training, career counseling, and job placement services.
  • Thrift Stores: UGM operates thrift stores that offer affordable clothing, furniture, and household items. Proceeds from these stores support UGM's programs and services.
  • Automotive Enterprise (UGM Motors): This program offers automotive job opportunities and Christian discipleship to homeless men, teaching them responsibility, accountability, and productivity through vehicle maintenance and repair.

Community Engagement

UGM actively engages with the community through various initiatives:

  • Volunteer Opportunities: The organization offers numerous volunteer positions including serving meals, providing mentorship, and assisting with administrative tasks.
