Tilden Park Golf Course, nestled within the scenic Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley, California, offers golfers a unique and challenging experience. Established in 1937 and designed by renowned architect William Park Bell Jr., this 6,294-yard championship course features rolling tree-lined fairways and contoured greens. It provides a picturesque backdrop for every round.
The course is renowned for its signature 16th hole, a 206-yard par 3 that offers panoramic views of the entire golf course. This elevated tee shot requires precision, as the green is protected by two bunkers on either side.
Golf Facilities and Programs
Tilden Park Golf Course offers a variety of lesson programs tailored to different skill levels. The covered and heated three-tiered driving range, known as the Tilden Tiers, ensures practice is possible year-round, regardless of weather conditions.
Dining at The Overlook
The Overlook, the on-site restaurant and bar, provides a comfortable setting to relax after a round. It features stunning views of the Bay and the Oakland and San Francisco skylines.
Guests can enjoy fresh, flavorful dishes including the popular Grizzly Burger and a selection of 12 local beers on tap. The Overlook is open daily from 8 am to 8 pm, with happy hour specials from Monday to Thursday between 3 pm and 5 pm.
