The South Bend Clinic

The South Bend Clinic, established in 1916 by Dr. Walter Baker and five other physician specialists, is the largest physician-owned and led multi-specialty group practice in Indiana.

Inspired by the Mayo Clinic's patient care model, the clinic has grown to nearly 200 providers, offering over 30 different board certifications across 15 locations.

History and Growth

In June 2020, The South Bend Clinic merged with Allied Physicians of Michiana, a multi-specialty healthcare group, to create a model focusing on providing greater value for patients and employers alike.

This merger aimed to preserve the benefits of an independent, physician-led, multi-specialty model of care.
