The Rail, established in 2011 by award-winning chef Mike Mariola, is a full-service restaurant and bar emphasizing locally sourced ingredients and community engagement. It originated from Mariola's successful steakhouse bar menu and has grown into a beloved dining destination in Ohio.

The Rail's menu is anchored by its signature burgers, crafted from 100% locally sourced beef. This commitment extends to chicken, dairy used in milkshakes, and a selection of craft beers and cocktails featuring spirits from Ohio-based distilleries.

The restaurant's dedication to quality and community has earned accolades, including the Cleveland Silver Spoon Award in 2020 and recognition as one of Big Seven Travel's Best Burgers in Cleveland in 2019 and 2020.

In May 2025, The Rail underwent a significant transformation, rebranding as Rail Craft Kitchen & Bar. This change reflects a broader menu that includes Sweet & Spicy Shrimp Tacos, Hand-Breaded Southern Fried Chicken Strips, and Certified Angus Beef Strip Steak beyond its original burger focus.

The rebranding also introduced updated interior designs and a full-service dining experience aimed at providing guests with a frictionless and enjoyable meal.
