The Kingstide

The Kingstide is Daniel Island's first and only waterfront restaurant, offering a coastal-inspired dining experience along the Wando River in Charleston, South Carolina. Opened in March 2021, this two-story establishment boasts a beautifully appointed space designed by Charleston-based Cortney Bishop Design. It features an abundance of windows that maximize natural light and provide picturesque views.

The menu at The Kingstide is thoughtfully crafted to showcase the Lowcountry's bounty through fresh, seasonally driven cuisine. Executive Chef Kevin Getzewich leads the kitchen, offering a variety of seafood dishes presented in both raw and wood-fired preparations.

Guests can enjoy classic raw bar offerings such as Peel & Eat Shrimp, Stone Crab Claws, Lobster Tails, and Oysters. Shareable starters include Fish Bologna Sliders, Smoked Fish Dip, and Tuna Tartare. For main courses, the restaurant features sandwiches and soups like Lobster Rolls, Trout Reuben, Crablt, Lowcountry Chowder, and Fisherman's Stew.

An assortment of fin fish, including Tuna and Trout, as well as shellfish pasta dishes like Lobster Agnolotti and Crab Tonnarelli, are also available. Land-based options include the Pub Steak and a variety of wood-fired vegetables.

Beverage Program

The beverage program at The Kingstide is equally impressive, offering a variety of rotating options, including cocktails, beer, and wine. Signature cocktails such as the Lowcountry Spritz, Wando Zombie, Red Tide, and Waterkeeper are available, along with a wine selection that emphasizes pink wines, bubbles, and seafood-friendly choices.

Interior and Seating

The restaurant's interior design combines rustic charm with refined nautical touches, creating a warm and inviting coastal atmosphere. The main dining room features a combination of 76 indoor seats and 52 outdoor seats, as well as additional al fresco lounge and dining options.

Upstairs, guests can enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the dining room, with particularly stunning views from the circular-shaped bar and expansive second-floor deck.

The Kingstide offers private dining spaces, including:
