The Country Club of Mobile, established in 1899, is a premier, member-owned private club located in Mobile, Alabama. Renowned for its rich history and exceptional amenities, the club offers a comprehensive range of facilities to cater to the diverse interests of members and their families.
Golf
The club boasts 27 holes of championship golf, featuring three nine-hole courses: the East and West Nines (Championship Course) and the North Nine (Par 3 Course). Originally designed by Donald Ross in 1918, the courses have undergone renovations to preserve their historical significance while incorporating modern enhancements.
The most recent updates, completed in 2018, were led by Jerry Pate, a renowned golf course architect. The pro shop is staffed by PGA professionals and offers high-quality equipment and apparel.
Additional golf amenities include a state-of-the-art practice area and teaching facility with experienced instructors, club fitting, technological swing analysis, and both group and individual lessons.
Tennis
The club features a 25,000 square-foot Tennis and Fitness Facility with 16 world-class, resort-style lighted tennis courts. Fifteen are Har-Tru clay courts, accompanied by one hard court and four dedicated pickleball courts.
The facility also includes a stocked Tennis Pro Shop, a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, an aerobics room, massage therapy rooms, and locker rooms equipped with a sauna and whirlpool.
Aquatics
The aquatics center offers multiple swimming options: an adult lap pool, Olympic-size competition pool, diving pool, and a zero-entry child recreational pool featuring fountains and a slide. The pool deck spans two levels, providing ample space for relaxation, sunbathing, and socializing.
Members can enjoy refreshments at the on-site food and beverage snack bar during their visit.
Fitness
The fitness center is fully equipped with modern machines and offers additional amenities such as an aerobics room, massage therapy rooms, and locker rooms with sauna and whirlpool.

History
The Country Club of Mobile was established in 1897 and incorporated on March 1, 1899. It relocated to Spring Hill in 1914, where a magnificent three-story clubhouse opened in 1917.
Despite a devastating fire in 1925, the club rebuilt and has maintained its reputation as one of the nation's finest country clubs, known for excellent food, warm atmosphere, and friendly service.
