Spanning 200 waterfront acres, the resort features 1,047 hotel rooms across 337 acres. Key attractions include an 18-hole golf course, a 50,000 sq. ft. Forbes Five-Star spa, eight swimming pools, 30 tennis courts, a full-service 32-slip marina, more than 15 restaurants and bars, and 200,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.
History
The resort's history dates back to 1926 when it first opened as the 100-room Ritz-Carlton Cloister Inn, designed by architect Addison Mizner. Over time, it has undergone several expansions and renovations, evolving into the expansive luxury destination it is today.
In 2019, MSD Partners, led by Michael Dell, acquired the resort and initiated a property-wide transformation to inspire a "New Golden Era" with new ways to eat, play, and stay.
