Taste of Belgium is a Cincinnati-based restaurant group renowned for its authentic Belgian-inspired cuisine. They specialize in traditional waffles, chicken, and an extensive selection of Belgian beers.

Founded in 2007 by Jean-François Flechet, the company started as a market stall at Findlay Market. Since then, it has expanded into multiple full-service bistros across Ohio and Kentucky.

The menu features a fusion of classic Belgian dishes blended with American influences, creating a unique dining experience. Signature items include Liège-style waffles, which are caramelized and rich in flavor.

Recent Changes and Closures

In recent years, the company has undergone restructuring. In September 2024, the Crestview Hills and Fields Ertel locations were closed due to underperforming sales.

Earlier in May 2024, the Liberty Township and Kenwood locations were also shut down for similar reasons. Additionally, the Clifton location ceased operations in February 2024 and decided against reopening in May.

Despite these challenges, Taste of Belgium remains a cherished part of Cincinnati’s dining scene. The brand continues to offer patrons an authentic taste of Belgian cuisine and culture.
