TASTE Family of Businesses

The TASTE Family of Businesses (TFOB) is a Virginia-based company that manages a diverse portfolio of food and beverage brands, all united under the mission to "cultivate community through the good life." Established in 2016, TFOB has grown to encompass 15 unique businesses.

These businesses include TASTE stores, TASTE Catering & Events, Zinnia Café at the Chrysler Museum of Art, The TASTE Bakehouse, and taste.online.

Company History

Founded in 1973 by Peter Coe as a wine and cheese shop in Virginia Beach, TASTE Unlimited, commonly known as TASTE, has evolved into a family-owned and operated specialty food experience.

The company offers a variety of house-made foods such as gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, soups, and desserts. These are prepared from scratch using locally sourced, minimally processed ingredients.

The retail offerings include a curated selection of artisanal products like fine cheeses, cured meats, craft beers, and boutique wines, emphasizing Virginia-made goods.

Management and Locations

In 2006, the Pruden family took over the management of TASTE, continuing the legacy of excellence and expanding the brand's presence.

Under their stewardship, TASTE has grown to include multiple locations across the Hampton Roads region:

Expansion and Services

In 2016, TASTE established the TASTE Family of Businesses to manage its expanding portfolio. This expansion includes:
