State of Play is a London-based game development studio established in 2008 by co-founders Luke Whittaker and Katherine Bidwell. The studio is renowned for creating innovative and award-winning games and animations emphasizing creativity and artistic expression.

Their portfolio includes titles such as "Lumino City," "KAMI," "INKS.," and "South of the Circle." "Lumino City" is a BAFTA award-winning puzzle adventure game known for its unique handcrafted art style. It was made entirely by hand using materials like paper, card, wood, miniature lights, and motors, offering players a visually distinctive experience.

In "KAMI," the studio introduced a calming puzzle game where players fold out colored paper to fill the screen in as few moves as possible, promoting mindfulness and strategic thinking.
