Operating under the ownership and management of these communities, SCF emphasizes cultural values and empowers individuals and families to lead healthier lives.

- Primary medical care
- Dentistry
- Optometry
- Physical therapy
- Mental health counseling
- Traditional healing
- Community health education
Additionally, SCF offers programs addressing domestic violence prevention, substance abuse treatment, and support for families and elders.
Nuka System of Care
A cornerstone of SCF's approach is the Nuka System of Care, a holistic model integrating health and social services to improve family and community well-being. This system has been recognized for reducing hospital activities, achieving high performance in healthcare effectiveness, and maintaining high levels of user satisfaction.
Alaska Native Medical Center
In 1998, SCF assumed ownership and management of the primary care program at the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) in Anchorage, Alaska. By January 1999, SCF began jointly managing and operating ANMC alongside the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium.
This marked a significant milestone as Alaska became the first state to have all its health facilities for Native Americans managed by Native organizations.
Facilities and Operations
SCF operates 26 facilities in Anchorage, Alaska, providing services to the local community and surrounding areas.
Customer-Owned Model
Through its customer-owned model, SCF fosters a collaborative environment where customer-owners actively participate in decision-making processes.
This ensures that services are tailored to meet the unique needs of Alaska Native and American Indian populations.
