About South Suburban
South Suburban Parks and Recreation District is a comprehensive park and recreation provider serving approximately 140,000 residents across a 41-square-mile area south of Denver, Colorado.
Established in 1959, the district encompasses the communities of Bow Mar, Columbine Valley, Littleton, Sheridan, Lone Tree, and Centennial west of I-25.
It also serves unincorporated portions of Douglas, Jefferson, and Arapahoe counties.

Facilities and Parks
The district manages over 100 parks, including 61 playgrounds and athletic fields, offering a diverse range of recreational facilities and programs.
These include community recreation centers, swimming pools, ice arenas, tennis courts, a BMX track, miniature golf courses, batting cages, public golf courses, and disc golf courses.
Additionally, the district maintains extensive parkland, greenways, and numerous trails designed for biking and running.
Family Sports Center
A notable facility is the Family Sports Center in Centennial, CO, offering ice skating rinks, a rock climbing wall, bumper cars, laser tag, miniature golf, and a pro shop with golf and ice equipment.
It also features banquet rooms, meeting spaces, and a full-service restaurant and bar with an outdoor patio overlooking the golf course.
Golf Courses
The South Suburban Golf Course includes an 18-hole regulation course set against a picturesque mountain backdrop, along with a 3,000-square-foot practice area featuring a putting surface, chipping area, and practice bunker.
Nearby is a 9-hole, par-3 executive course, perfect for those with limited time or looking to practice their short game.
The course offers a full-service restaurant and bar with sweeping views of the golf course and mountain range.
Ice Arena
The South Suburban Ice Arena is a year-round indoor facility with two ice rinks, one seating 800 and another seating 300.
The arena hosts state competitions and provides amenities such as arcade games, concessions, skate rentals, locker rooms, snack bars, and skate sharpening services.
Sports Dome
The Sports Dome is a 45,000-square-foot venue featuring a FIFA-approved synthetic turf field, heating and air conditioning, overhead speakers, and a lobby with spectator views.
