South Shore Health

South Shore Health is a not-for-profit, independent health system based in Weymouth, Massachusetts. It is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to the South Shore community. As the largest independent health system in Southeastern Massachusetts, it offers a comprehensive range of services.

These services include primary and specialty care, hospital care, surgical services, home health and community care, as well as preventive and wellness programs.

Health System Entities

• South Shore Hospital: A 396-bed facility in Weymouth with emergency, maternity, neonatal, pediatric, medical, surgical, cancer, cardiovascular, orthopedic, trauma, and critical care services.
• South Shore Medical Center: Multi-specialty medical practice with over 100 providers in internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and obstetrics/gynecology.
• South Shore Visiting Nurse Association (VNA): Home health care services including skilled nursing, specialty disease management, physical, occupational, speech therapy, home health aide, and medical social work for adults and children.
• Health Express Urgent Care Centers: Multiple locations providing urgent care services across the South Shore region.
• South Shore NeuroSpine: Medical practice focused on acute and chronic care for the brain, spine, and nervous system.
• South Shore Health Foundation: Generates philanthropic support to advance the health system's charitable mission.
• The Friends of South Shore Health: Membership organization promoting the mission through community outreach, educational programs, fundraising, and social opportunities.

Collaborations with Boston Medical Centers

• Boston Children's Hospital: Neonatal intensive care, pediatric emergency, inpatient, and outpatient pediatric clinics in association with South Shore Hospital.
• Brigham and Women's Hospital: Services including Breast Care Center, cardiology, reproductive endocrinology, gynecological oncology, neurology, urogynecology, stroke care, and a surgical residency program.
• Dana-Farber Cancer Institute: World-leading cancer care through the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital.

In addition to its main campus in Weymouth, South Shore Health operates multiple locations throughout the South Shore region. These include Health Express Urgent Care Centers in:
