South East Education Cooperative Consortium

The South East Education Cooperative (SEEC) is a Regional Education Association based in Fargo, North Dakota. It is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for students across the southeastern region. SEEC serves 34 public school districts and three private schools, collectively educating nearly 37,300 students.

Professional Development and Support

SEEC offers a comprehensive suite of professional development programs tailored for educators and administrators. These initiatives equip teaching professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively implement North Dakota's state standards.

Through workshops, online resources, and expert-led sessions, SEEC ensures educators are well-prepared to meet the evolving needs of their students.

Student Programs and Services

Beyond professional development, SEEC expands student learning opportunities. The organization has collaborated with Cass County school districts to establish a virtual career and technical education center.

This center provides students access to diverse vocational training programs. SEEC also supports student-driven activities such as the "Check and Connect" mentoring program, pairing students with caring adults to foster academic and personal growth.

Support for English Learners

Recognizing challenges faced by English Language Learners (ELLs), SEEC manages a Title III consortium that enables member schools to access federal funding.

This funding supports ELL endorsement reimbursements, professional development, and supplemental materials to enhance language instruction. SEEC ensures educators are equipped to meet diverse student needs.

Shared Services and Resources

• Grant Services: Assisting schools in applying for and managing grants, especially those related to English learners.
• Shared Services Alliance: Collaborating with Child Care Aware of North Dakota to streamline administrative tasks for child care programs to improve efficiency and service quality.
• School-Based Medicaid Billing: Helping districts access federal reimbursements for medically necessary student services to ensure comprehensive support without financial strain.

Membership and Collaboration

As a member of the North Dakota Succeed 2020 initiative, SEEC plays a pivotal role in advancing educational standards within the state.

By fostering collaboration among member districts, SEEC enhances educational quality and ensures students receive the support needed to succeed academically and personally.
