Ruby's Diner

Ruby's Diner is a classic American restaurant chain that has been serving up timeless favorites since 1982. Founded by Doug Cavanaugh and Ralph Kosmides, the first Ruby's Diner opened on December 7, 1982, in a converted bait shop at the end of the Balboa Pier in Newport Beach, California.

The establishment was named after Cavanaugh's mother, Ruby, whose likeness appears in the logo and other advertising materials.

Designed with a retro 1940s/1950s atmosphere, Ruby's Diner offers a menu that includes classic burgers, crispy fries, handmade shakes, and other comfort foods.

As of July 2025, Ruby's Diner operates the Anaheim location, situated at 1128 West Lincoln Avenue.
