Roper St. Francis Healthcare is Charleston's only private, not-for-profit healthcare system, dedicated to providing comprehensive medical services with compassion, faith, and excellence.

With a rich history spanning over 170 years, the organization has grown into a 657-bed system comprising more than 100 facilities and services across five counties in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina.

Comprehensive Medical Services

The healthcare system offers a wide array of services, including:

In June 2025, Roper St. Francis Healthcare broke ground on a transformative $1.2 billion project for a future Roper Hospital campus in North Charleston.

This campus spans 27 acres and is expected to be completed in 2029.
