About Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange, established on March 24, 1976, serves as a vibrant faith community encompassing all of Orange County, California.
Under the leadership of Bishop Kevin W. Vann, the diocese has grown to include 58 parishes, 5 pastoral centers, and 36 schools, collectively serving approximately 1.3 million Catholics.
Christ Cathedral
At the heart of the diocese is Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove, which serves as the spiritual home for the community.
This cathedral, formerly known as the Crystal Cathedral, was acquired by the diocese in 2011 and dedicated on July 17, 2019.
Services and Ministries
The diocese offers a wide array of services and ministries to support the spiritual and social needs of its members.
These include religious education programs, youth and young adult ministries, marriage and family life services, and various outreach initiatives.
Additionally, the diocese operates:

Recent Initiatives
In recent years, the diocese has been actively involved in initiatives such as the "I AM" Eucharistic Congress 2025, scheduled for October 17-18 at Christ Cathedral.
It also leads the Creation Camino Challenge, a family-centered campaign promoting faith and wellness through nature.
