River Crest Country Club

River Crest Country Club, established in 1911, is Fort Worth's oldest and most storied country club. It offers a rich blend of history, camaraderie, and modern amenities. Golf Course

The centerpiece of River Crest is its 6,368-yard, par-70 golf course, originally designed by Tom Bendelow and A.W. Tillinghast, with upgrades by Colligan Golf Design. The course features narrow fairways, well-protected greens, and a mix of grasses including bent grass greens, 419 bermudagrass fairways and rough, and Zoysia grass tees.

Notable golfers such as Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson have frequented the course. It has hosted significant events like the Texas Women's Open from 1935 to 1955.

Clubhouse and Amenities

The historic clubhouse, built in 1912 and renovated in 2012, spans 70,000 square feet and includes 13,000 square feet of event space that accommodates up to 850 guests. Dining options range from formal settings to casual grills and a bar and lounge area.

Other amenities include a 9,000-square-foot fitness center, six outdoor and two indoor tennis courts (including the only two clay courts in Fort Worth), and a large outdoor swimming pool with a water slide.

Tennis and Pickleball

River Crest offers a comprehensive racquet sports program featuring 11 courts:

• The only two clay courts in Fort Worth
• Two indoor courts for year-round play

The club introduced pickleball, the nation's fastest-growing racquet sport, and hosts various leagues and tournaments for all skill levels.
