Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC) is a comprehensive healthcare facility located in Staten Island, New York. Established on January 1, 2007, RUMC has grown to become a leading provider of acute, medical, and surgical care in the region. The hospital occupies the former St. Vincent's Medical Center buildings, modernized to meet evolving healthcare needs.
As an affiliate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Health System, RUMC offers a wide range of medical services including emergency care, minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, gastroenterology, cardiology, pediatrics, podiatry, endocrinology, urology, oncology, orthopedics, neonatal intensive care, and maternal health.

Special Designations and Facilities
RUMC is designated as a Level I Trauma Center and a Stroke Center, receiving top national recognition from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. It features a state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Lab equipped with PCI capabilities for elective and emergent angioplasty procedures.
The hospital maintains a Wound Care/Hyperbaric Center and a Sleep Disorder Center on-site. Behavioral health services include inpatient and outpatient care for children, adolescents, and adults, along with emergent inpatient and mobile outreach units. RUMC is the only facility in Staten Island offering inpatient psychiatric services for adolescents.
