Company History
Founded in 1989 by Mike Campbell, Regal Cinemas began with a single theater in Knoxville. Over the years, the company expanded significantly by acquiring theater chains such as Edwards Theatres and United Artists Theatres, broadening its reach and enhancing its offerings.
In 2017, Regal was acquired by the British company Cineworld, forming the world's second-largest cinema group. This acquisition enabled Regal to expand its presence in the global market and improve its services.
