ReDiscover is a nonprofit community mental health center dedicated to providing comprehensive programs and services for individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders. With over 50 years of experience, ReDiscover has become the largest community mental health center in the Kansas City area, offering compassionate care with a recovery-driven focus.

Services Offered

• Mental Health Treatment: ReDiscover offers therapy, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and counseling for children, adults, and families. Licensed professionals, including psychologists, social workers, counselors, and nurses, provide these services. Psychiatric services are offered by physicians and advanced practice nurses who evaluate each client and, if needed, prescribe and monitor medication.
• Substance Use Disorder Treatment: ReDiscover provides assessment and treatment for substance use disorders to help individuals develop sobriety and mental stability. This includes residential treatment programs that offer a safe, drug and alcohol-free residence with 24-hour staffing, relapse prevention, case management, day treatment, individual and group counseling, aftercare, psychiatric services, meals, and transportation.
• Crisis and Outreach Services: ReDiscover offers immediate phone or face-to-face intervention to help resolve crises and make referrals for treatment 24 hours daily. They also provide a 24/7 support line for those in need.
• Child and Adolescent Services: The center helps children and adolescents develop personal skills to cope with challenges while building and maintaining healthy relationships at school and home. Services include individual and group counseling, case management, family counseling, community support services, and family support services.
• Healthcare Home Services: ReDiscover offers an innovative care coordination model customized to meet the needs of low-income clients with chronic conditions such as obesity, metabolic syndrome, hypertension, and diabetes. Physicians and nurses provide health screenings, monitor health conditions, and connect clients to physical health resources and preventive services.
