Rainbow Room

The Rainbow Room is an iconic event space and restaurant located on the 65th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Established in 1934, it has long been a symbol of New York's glamour and sophistication.

Design and Interior

Designed by architect Wallace K. Harrison and interior designer Elena Bachman Schmidt, the Rainbow Room features a distinctive revolving circular dance floor inspired by the 1908 Murray's Roman Gardens.

This 32-foot floor rotates in either direction, completing a full revolution every 3–5 minutes, adding a dynamic element to the dining and entertainment experience.

The interior is adorned with concentric rings and crystal light fixtures, creating an elegant and timeless atmosphere.

Dining and Culinary Experience

The menu at the Rainbow Room focuses on Modern American cuisine, offering a variety of appetizers, entrées, and desserts.

Since its reopening in 2014, the restaurant has been under the guidance of Executive Chef Jonathan Wright, who emphasizes French-influenced, farm-to-table dishes.
