The Players Alliance is a nonprofit organization founded by current and former professional baseball players with the mission to make the game more equitable and accessible, particularly for Black communities. Established in 2020, the organization addresses systemic barriers to equity and inclusion in baseball by creating pathways to opportunities both on and off the field.

The organization's core values include leadership, ownership, protection, service, stewardship, diversity, and equality. These principles guide their efforts to increase the participation of Black talent in baseball and ensure representation within the sport.

Since its inception, The Players Alliance has made significant contributions to Black communities. They have donated over $41 million through various programs, such as the Pull-Up Neighbor Tour and the Gear for Good Program.

  • Visiting 25 cities across the United States
  • Bringing together 150 MLB players
  • Donating over $1 million worth of baseball gear to Black youth and teams
  • Providing fresh produce and COVID-19 resources

The Gear for Good Program focuses on collecting and distributing gently used baseball equipment to underserved areas, furthering access to the sport within Black communities.
