Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi

Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi (PPTNM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality, nonjudgmental sexual and reproductive healthcare services, education, and advocacy across Tennessee, northern Mississippi, and parts of Arkansas.

With over 75 years of service, PPTNM has established itself as one of Tennessee's oldest and largest private healthcare agencies.

Services Offered

PPTNM offers a comprehensive range of services to meet the diverse needs of the communities it serves:

• Reproductive Health Services: These include annual wellness exams, pregnancy testing, screenings for cervical and breast cancer, and a variety of birth control methods and supplies.
• Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Testing and Treatment: Confidential testing and treatment for STIs, including HIV, are available to ensure patient health and safety.
• Gender-Affirming Care: PPTNM provides gender-affirming hormone therapy and related services to support the transgender and gender non-conforming community.
• Mental Health Services: Counseling and support services address the emotional aspects of sexual and reproductive health.
• Abortion Services: Due to recent legal changes, direct abortion services are no longer provided. However, patient navigation services assist individuals in accessing abortion care in other states where legal.

PPTNM operates several health centers across its service area, including:

• Knoxville Health Center: Located at 710 North Cherry Street, Knoxville, TN, this center is set to reopen in July 2024 after extensive renovations.

Additional locations include:

• Memphis Health Center – Midtown: at 2430 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38112, offering a range of reproductive health services.
• Memphis Health Center – Near Summer and I-240: at 835 Virginia Run Cove, Memphis, TN 38122, providing comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare.
• Nashville Health Center: located at 412 Dr. D.B. Todd Jr. Blvd, Nashville, TN, offering various reproductive health services.
• Mobile Health Unit in Knoxville: Currently paused, this unit supports outreach to underserved communities.

Community Engagement and Advocacy
