Expansion Plans
In August 2024, PFG announced plans to acquire foodservice distributor Cheney Bros for $2.1 billion in cash. This acquisition is expected to strengthen PFG's presence in the Southeastern U.S.
The expansion will extend into Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The deal is anticipated to close in 2025 and will contribute to PFG’s earnings per share within the first full fiscal year post-acquisition.
