Pathways Travels

Pathways Travels is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing experiential learning opportunities for students through travel. Founded in 2002 by Jamie Donahue, the organization partners with local high schools across the United States to offer multi-day trips that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills among teenagers.

The organization offers a diverse range of programs designed to broaden students' perspectives and enhance their personal growth.

These programs include:

• Domestic trips such as Black History & Culture, Crime Scene Investigation (CSI), Washington D.C. tours, and Service Learning projects.
• International destinations encompassing Italy, China, Cuba, World War II expeditions in Europe, Mexico, Ireland, and Scandinavia.
• Experiential learning camps like Blackbird Farm in California and Rocky Mountain Pathways Ranch in Colorado.

A distinctive feature of Pathways Travels is its commitment to maintaining a low adult-to-student ratio, ensuring personalized attention and safety. Each trip is accompanied by adult chaperones and Pathways employees, with a maximum ratio of 10:1. This structure allows for meaningful engagement and effective supervision throughout the journey.

The organization emphasizes a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all participants.

Students are provided with preparation guidelines and are required to adhere to strict policies that ensure appropriate and safe conduct.

This approach has established Pathways Travels as a trusted operator of international and domestic multi-day trips for teenagers since 2007.

In addition to its educational programs, Pathways Travels offers college readiness initiatives, including mentorship, college application workshops, personal statement assistance, and scholarship opportunities.
