Otterbein SeniorLife is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults across Ohio and parts of Indiana. Rooted in the United Methodist tradition, Otterbein offers a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of seniors, ensuring they can live with dignity, independence, and purpose.

SeniorLife Communities

Otterbein operates several SeniorLife Communities, each providing a continuum of care tailored to individual preferences.

• Independent Living: Maintenance-free living in custom-built homes and attractive apartments, allowing residents to enjoy an active lifestyle without the burdens of home upkeep.
• Assisted Living: A selection of attractive apartments staffed with healthcare professionals who work with residents to customize care plans specific to their needs.
• Skilled Nursing/Long-Term Care: Compassionate care for those requiring ongoing medical attention, with a focus on restoring abilities and maintaining wellness.
• Memory Support: Specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Rehabilitative Care Services: Short-stay suites and on-site therapy to assist the transition from hospital to home.

These communities are located in Cridersville, Franklin (IN), Granville, Green Hills (West Liberty), Lebanon, Marblehead, North Olmsted, Pemberville, St. Marys, Sunset House (Toledo), Sunset Village (Sylvania), and Tipp City.

SeniorLife Neighborhoods

In addition to the communities, Otterbein offers innovative "small house" neighborhoods that redefine traditional nursing home care.

• Design: Each neighborhood consists of five specially designed one-story houses with 12 private suites, accommodating no more than 60 residents in total. This setup ensures high staff-to-elder ratios and a homely environment.
• Amenities: Private suites, shared kitchen/dining/living spaces, home-cooked meals, and personalized rehabilitative care programs.
• Locations: Gahanna, Loveland, Maineville, Middletown, Monclova, New Albany, Perrysburg, Springboro, and Union Township.

SeniorLife in the Home

For those preferring to remain in their own homes, Otterbein provides home and community-based services, including:

• Home Health: Skilled healthcare professionals deliver care directly to the patient's home.
• Wellness Services: Programs designed to promote health and well-being.
• Hospice Ministries: Comprehensive care focusing on comfort and quality of life for individuals with life-limiting illnesses.

These services are available to residents of the ten counties Otterbein serves in southwestern Ohio.
