Opportunity Village is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Southern Nevada. Established in 1954, it has been a cornerstone in providing comprehensive services that enhance the quality of life for its clients and their families.

Programs and Services

Opportunity Village offers a diverse array of programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual:

• PRIDE: Provides 24-hour essential support, supervision, and care for individuals with profound physical and intellectual disabilities.
• Enable: Engages participants with severe intellectual and physical disabilities in meaningful activities and rehabilitative initiatives to help them realize their fullest potential.
• Advocacy & Resources: Offers legal aid and community resources to ensure individuals with disabilities receive the necessary support.
• Day Habilitation: Focuses on enhancing daily living skills, personal development, and community integration.
• Pre-Vocational Services: Prepares individuals for employment by teaching essential work skills and behaviors.
• Employment Services: Assists individuals in finding and maintaining meaningful employment to foster independence and self-sufficiency.
• Youth & Student Services: Tailored programs aimed at skill development and social integration for younger individuals.
• Arts & Recreation: Encourages creative expression and social interaction through various artistic and recreational activities.

Inclusive Housing

Betty’s Village is a unique residential community offering independent living for adults with disabilities. The community features townhouse-style homes with front porches that foster social interaction.

Amenities include a clubhouse with a gym, pool, spa, and multipurpose spaces for social and recreational activities. The village is designed to promote independence and a sense of community.

Business Services

Opportunity Village operates several social enterprises that provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities while serving the community:

• Dessie’s Table: A bakery offering handcrafted cookies.
• PaperPros: Secure document shredding and imaging services.
• OV Cleans: Professional cleaning services for businesses.
• Print Pals & Mail Masters: Full-service print shop handling print and mail fulfillment needs.
• Button Brigade: Designs and creates custom buttons for campaigns and events.
• OV Solutions: Packaging and assembly services.
• AbilityOne: Partners with organizations to employ people with significant disabilities.

Community Engagement

Opportunity Village hosts various events and activities throughout the year, including the Magical Forest, a holiday-themed attraction and major fundraiser.

The organization encourages community involvement through volunteering, donations, and event participation.
