Ochsner Health System is a not-for-profit healthcare organization headquartered in Jefferson, Louisiana, serving the Gulf South region of the United States. Established in 1942 by Dr. Alton Ochsner, the system has grown to become the largest independent academic medical center in the U.S. It operates 46 hospitals and over 370 health and urgent care centers across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Gulf South.
