About Norton Sound Seafood
Norton Sound Seafood Products (NSSP) is a subsidiary of the Norton Sound Economic Development Corporation (NSEDC), dedicated to supporting the local fisheries of the Norton Sound region in northwest Alaska. Established in 1995, NSSP manages the commercial seafood activities of NSEDC. The company focuses on the sustainable harvesting, processing, and marketing of various seafood species, including salmon, herring, halibut, king crab, and bait fisheries.
Operating facilities throughout the region, NSSP has processing plants in Unalakleet, Savoonga, and Nome. It also maintains buying stations in Elim, Golovin, and Shaktoolik. These facilities enable NSSP to create stable markets and better ex-vessel prices for local fishermen.
